TSFS Meeting at Jo Hogan's house, 10 July 2016

Marketing report on ad exchanges and marketing stuff.


T-shirts. Small through 3XL; three colors of shirt; $7.17 per shirt to
purchase. Make $1200-$2000 profit for selling at $15/$20. $7.50 for
staff. We have a some 4/5/6XL tshirts from past.


Waiting list for fan tables. Girl Scouts coming with cookies. Put it
on the web site.


Treasurer: $17420.01 in the bank. There may have been fraudulent
transactions on the bank card in the past; Sam will be meeting with
the bank to examine this. There may be restoration of about $2000
coming.


Video Gaming: tentative schedule in hand. Help wanted. No creeper
awards this year. Not worth the effort.


Insurance and ASCAP license in process.


Alann lending tech equiment; Mike operating it.


Guest travel arrangements mostly in place. Budget OK. Marketing
dipping into next year a bit.


Ramp or lift for stage a desirable thing. Maybe buy a lift. Talk to
Balticon about possible joint action?


Hotel price going up $2000; hopefully it's not "Radisson hates up".
Lord Baltimore reached out to us but didn't get back to us.


Food was good for guests and stuff. Takes care of people who didn't
have to panic about food.


Guest gifts; volunteer gifts. Do the mugs again. Laser etched glasses
for guests.


Art show panels. Need to pick them up from Balticon to put in newer
larger storage space.


Dealer's room sold out at 31 tables. And a big waiting list. Layout in
Dan;s hands.


Programming: Mythic and Board Gaming rooms swapping. Mild concern
about noise complaints from programming. Work meeting after business
meeting. Scheduling coming up soon. Video Gaming needs computers. Can
we get away from CRT monitors? Need appropriate adapters.


LARP: Balticon had table LARP and later "real" LARP. What do we want
to do? The folks who ran LARP last time don't want to do it again.


ConCardia: what to focus on? Otto the spokeseel gets a card. Chessie
singing? Repeat some things from two years ago? Pokemon GO card
(catching a Pokemon at the hotel is worth a card). "something in the
lobby" Memorial cards?


Get a hotel room for a gender neutral bathroom and quiet space.


Inventory ribbons and such to see if we need more.


We have color coded bike locks and keys for self-securing doors.


Greg: get more people coming to TSFS meetings and participating in the
business. Add some social gatherings -- marketing to take lead.


Get a blurb from Chuck Tingle for the Turkey Award?


Next meeting: Saturday, 20 August, 1300. At Jo's house.


2017: Hotel Liaison? Dawn? Still rolling the die.

Need new dealer coordinator.
