TSFS Meeting 15 September, at Jo's house

Jo Hogan, Sam Hogan, Dave Montuori, Michael Houghton, Josh Kronengold,
Steven Aines, Sir not appearing at this  meeting


Next meeting October 27, 1pm, Jo's house.


Josh has offered to be Con Chair next year. He will yield to someone
else if they really want it.


Jo will continue to do programming. Probably.


Josh observes that many things on the List Of Stuff The Con Chair Does
has many things that should be delegated. Pending people to reliably
do them.


Program book. Michael will continue to do it. Same deadlines. Need
cover art. Being worked on.


Schedule should be to Michael by mid-October-ish. Deadline for ads is 1 October.


There are a few tables left at $120.


Hotel thing: hotel did not disable Expedia, etc. It is off now.
Unclear how many room nights we have lost to this. Collect room
numbers at registration to make sure we get credit for our room
nights.


Hotel meeting 10/26 at 2pm. Sam, Steve, Will Moody (hotel person).
Roberta's departure was actual retirement, not "retirement". She has
trained Will.


On internal schedule include reference to Jane Sibley gaming
activities after hours. Jo ask Jane for her plans, and after 4 on
Sunday's is Not Part Of Chessiecon. Table in game room seemed to work
last year.


Thomas will run con suite this year.


Steve needs layout information, copy of contract.


We are not relying on the Timonium room. If it is usable, we can make use of it.


Staff gathering on Thanksgiving day at hotel. Probably about $40 a head.


Contract says they will do concessions. They might be reluctant based
on their sales. We might ask for something else as an alternative.


No reason to change membership rates for next year.


Orange mugs this year for volunteers.


Registration: Dave Montuori will be doing registration. He needs to
acquire particulars, and lists of volunteers. He will not be in town
Friday afternoon, so we need people to set up and operate it then.


Give Dave access to the registration database. Can staff check in
early? Thursday would be nice if we have someone with means and access
to do it.


Use signmeup website for people to sign up for shifts at registration.
Dave will set it up for registration.


Code of Conduct to address drones, weapons sales, and "performance is
not consent".


Need celebrity presenter for Turkey's awards. Programming issue.


Treasurer: $14312.73 in the bank. About right for this time of year.
