TSFS Meeting 6 January at Panera

Next meeting Saturday 27 April, Panera, 2 pm.
[Ed. note: this was postponed to Saturday 4 May due to scheduling issues.]

Officer Elections:


President: Michael Houghton

Vice President: Margaret Hogan (who will resign as trustee)

Trustee (to finish Margaret's term): Josh Kronengold

Trustee: Mark Drexler (to renew term)

Sam Hogan: Treasurer


Moved to elect slate. All in favor. Slate elected.


We still have an opening for Corresponding Secretary.


Treasurer:


Refund from Red Lion $1563.95 who had never charged the credit card for

the $1000 deposit for last year.


Current balance: $12640.28


We appear to have lost about $3000 this year.  Need to pay deposit for
this year. Truck rental was messed up. Cost extra.


Budget for this year will be published for discussion in near future.


Hotel shenanigans about room blocks. Need to be even clearer in contract.


We would like more memberships...


Jo start programming in April/May. Meeting sometime in May TBD.


Yakira and Rachel will be joining in the programming planning. They
have things to try at Balticon, and Rachel has ideas for teen
programming.


PayPal intermittently dropping payment information for KatsuCon. Same
problem we had. We need to remain vigilant.


Dave comfortable heading registration this year. That position is covered.


Need dealer's room coordinator; volunteer coordinator; marketing.


Miriam might be a candidate for dealer's room coordinator. Yakira
could be an alternative.


Concardia Mike offered to help out with marketing from an idea side.
What we really need are people to execute ideas. Keep track of
deadlines to sign up for fan tables. CapClave and Balticon the ones
that really need a table, especially for recruiting people.


Mark to do some work on publicity.


Guest Liaison a big hole. Been filled by con chair. Should be a
distinct person. Crystal has done this for music. That is good. Need
someone for rest of guests. Maybe Rachel?


Need to keep looking for hotel liaison going forward. Steve still undecided.


Guests for 2020. Josh's department.


Michael will post on FaceBook page about business meetings and such.


Start thinking about a new hotel after next year. Lord Baltimore may
be our next best choice. Room rates and parking rates are a concern.
Plan Q is the previous CapClave hotel.
