The Thanksgiving Science Fiction Society held a general business meeting on 13 June 2021. The meeting was held online via Discord, with no in-person interaction aside from between folks who live together, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All conversations took place via text chat in Discord. This is a quick-n-dirty Discord transcript of the TSFS General Business Meeting held on 13 June 2021, made on 14 June 2021 by Dave Montuori. All formatting has basically been lost. Meeting was scheduled to begin at 1 PM EDT. Conversations begin at 12:47 PM. She has to work during the later part f the meeting, and work prep before work Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 12:53 PM OK [12:54 PM] I've moved it up, and if she wants it even earlier, we can do that. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 12:54 PM Report from Registration should be in there somewhere, don't care where Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 12:55 PM Added. 1 [12:55 PM] See! I'm trying to be more organized this month. 1 DrGandalf — Today at 12:57 PM Greetings, all Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 12:58 PM Howdy! DrGandalf — Today at 12:59 PM I like Discord meetings, especially after spending 10+ hours on Zoom yesterday Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:04 PM I see Poryshkin, DrGandalf, Evan, and me. Who else is here? Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:04 PM It's after 13:00 EDT. Adsum! Alex 🔪 Jack-of-All-Trades — Today at 1:04 PM Hallo! Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:04 PM Saria's body is here, her spirit may or may not be Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:04 PM I've warned Saria, she may or may not be here shortly [1:04 PM] Ah! Even more shortly Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:04 PM The latter is not in my purview. :-) DrGandalf — Today at 1:05 PM How shortly depends on your font size Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:06 PM And not al all on how vertically challenged any given person may or may not be Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:06 PM So. I think we have a quorum. Barely. DrGandalf — Today at 1:07 PM Willow the Wondercat is here, does he count? Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:08 PM Would be even more helpful if this were a Zoom meeting, but this is not... (Since it is a requirement that all Zoom meetings must be furbombed in order to be official) Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:08 PM So. On to what passes for business. Alex 🔪 Jack-of-All-Trades — Today at 1:08 PM  Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:09 PM Next business meeting: I suspect we might want to meet in July. Any thoughts? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:09 PM Agreed. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:10 PM NOT the 4th or the 25th, please. Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:10 PM I'm going to be on vacation the first two weeks of July Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:10 PM Let's see, events in July...hm, somehow, first weekend, seems out, for some trivial reason. Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:10 PM technically I would be available for those days, but I'd rather not be if it's avoidable DrGandalf — Today at 1:10 PM Or 11th, Shore Leave Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:10 PM Ooooh, doesn't that take out all of the weekends? @Poryshkin | Con Chair Let's see, events in July...hm, somehow, first weekend, seems out, for some trivial reason. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:10 PM Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:10 PM OK. I'm good with either day of the next two (17-18/24/25) Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 1:11 PM I'm here Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:11 PM Howdy! Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:11 PM I'd prefer the 24th to the 25th if it comes down to that. Pre-Armistice prep may complicate my life. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:11 PM Ah! OK, correction: 17-18 seems do-able Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:11 PM How about Saturday, 17 July? 3 DrGandalf — Today at 1:12 PM At the moment, those 4 days are clear for me Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:12 PM Works for me. DrGandalf — Today at 1:12 PM 1300 edt? Alex 🔪 Jack-of-All-Trades — Today at 1:12 PM I'm down. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:12 PM Unless 1400 is better for anyone. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:13 PM 1300 works better for me, I think Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:13 PM PSA: my dad is scheduled for hip replacement surgery in "mid-July" -- we should have an exact date later this week. It's happening in North Carolina, and my parents will be staying at my sister's. This should, hopefully, not have any effect on my schedule. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:13 PM For those of you 24-hour-impaired, that's either 1 or 2 PM Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:13 PM upon checking my receipt, I check out of the hotel ON the 17th, so 18th would be better but if it has to be the 17th I can TRY to be at attention Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:14 PM I can do either the 17th or 18th, 1300 or 1400 is fine, no preference Alex 🔪 Jack-of-All-Trades — Today at 1:14 PM Depending on my work schedule, which varies week to week, I can try and show up Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:15 PM I can do the 18th; I have another meeting earlier but I'm not essential and it sometimes is done by then (Wreath). Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:15 PM Likewise here. Wreath tries to get done fast. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:15 PM OK. So to accommodate Saria, let's set it on Sunday, 18 July, at 1300 EDT. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:15 PM Still works for me Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:16 PM There's a Discord channel with the date and time. 4 DrGandalf — Today at 1:16 PM S'OK Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:19 PM Moving on. There was a proposal to pitch a Cruise Con at us. Upon consideration, I made an executive decision that it was unlikely to fit will with Chessiecon and our members. Y'all can tell me I was in error, if you wish, but I elected to not take meeting time with having them pitch it at us. 1 Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:20 PM I am entirely neutral on this; while the actual proposal was actually for a later year than I was originally understanding, I still noted a significant negaqtive reaction when I queried the list to inform Herveus' decision. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:20 PM In my persona as ConOps (and thus Head of Security) and as President, I have been approached with a concern that bears investigating. It's not a time-critical matter, so I'm going deliberately. More, I will not say here at this time. Just letting y'all know. DrGandalf — Today at 1:21 PM Herveus, you are not in error. Cruise is an absolute no for us. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:23 PM Also note that after an ad hoc meeting to eyeball the website, it is live for Chessiecon 2021. Thank you Marilyn. 1 Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:24 PM There are various twaks that can be done, ut the most significant information is there. Very much thanks to Marilyn Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:24 PM Yay Marilyn Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 1:24 PM I will call a web site meeting when I'm back in civilization 1 Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:24 PM It has been suggested that we take another look at the Hunt Valley as a venue. That would call for an ad hoc search committee to do the thing. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:25 PM I presume this is with an eye toward Not!2021. Obviously we haven't had a chance to see how the LB works for an actual Chessiecon. Were specific reasons given for reconsidering the Hunt Valley for later years? Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:26 PM Can you say more on this, Poryshkin? [1:26 PM] I was asked to add this topic to the agenda. I do not expect it to be a significant chunk of energy today. DrGandalf — Today at 1:27 PM Is our contract with the LB for just one year? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:28 PM We investigated Hunt Valley as one of the possibilities for 2020 before the S**tstorm happened; it was a very close race between Lord Baltimore & Hunt Valley. a couple of weeks ago, the sales person at HV re-contacted me WRT 2022. @DrGandalf Is our contract with the LB for just one year? Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:28 PM Have we ever had a multiyear hotel contract? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:28 PM As Evan points out, we dont' have actual data from a live experience yet, so at this oint everythign is tentative. [1:29 PM] And to answer Dr G's question, yes, the contract was originally for 2020 only, but they were very cooperative with rolling it over to 2021. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:30 PM We'll be in a better position to ponder this in December, one way or the other. I think it's accurate to say the LB has not done anything to chase us away at this time. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:30 PM When we were in Timonium regularly, we typically signed the contract for X year immediately following the previous year's convention. Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:30 PM I seemed to notice a handful of 'ugh's in response to finding out we're at the LB - namely the idea of travel through that part of Baltimore. not sure where the Hunt Valley is in relation to it but it might be worth checking out in 2022 Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 1:31 PM Correct me, but I thought the arrangement with slipping to 2021 with LB was that we would do 2022 with them. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:31 PM Hunt Valley is north of Timonium, at the far end of the light rail line. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:31 PM But y'know, the point is,w e have a couple venue options; idle speculation on my part if this can be leveraged, and I wanted TSFS approval into investigating that possibility DrGandalf — Today at 1:32 PM Certainly worth looking at Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:32 PM OK. I think that's suitably vague. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:32 PM Venue for 2022 has not been discussed with LB or HV at this point. 1 Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 1:32 PM Herveus -- agreed DrGandalf — Today at 1:32 PM Our predecessor con was there a few times way back when - Like 30 years ago Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:33 PM I'd think that if this year at LB goes well it would give them the edge, but that's all wild speculation right now. [1:34 PM] Poryshkin, is this something you would be heading up in your copious spare time? Perhaps with the idea that we'd be in a position to give it more consideration after the convention? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:35 PM That makes the most sense to me [1:36 PM] But yeah, after this year's convention is the timeline I had in mind. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:36 PM OK. Moving along. Treasurer then Video Games. [1:36 PM] (since Saria needs to be able to disengage at some point) Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:37 PM We have 9796.43 in the various accounts. Bleed-off for storage space continues, of course, but we have had come income: some dealer's inquiries, and a registration or two. [1:37 PM] Registration should have more input on that. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:39 PM Video Games Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:46 PM OK, I've gotten 5 different messages saying Saria is typing, then it craps out. She may be having connection problems. I don't seem to be. Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:47 PM it may be starting and stopping from me starting and stopping, discord does that Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:47 PM Do you have anything to report for Videogaming? Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:47 PM I do, working on it Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:47 PM ok DrGandalf — Today at 1:49 PM Big cloudburp heading my way. Saria | Videogaming, Website — Today at 1:50 PM I wrote a letter explaining things that Marilyn put on the website for me, so a lot of that is covered there as well. Essentially, video gaming will be running, but more minimally and with a shorter leash; closing before midnight, opening at 11 instead of 10, no long afterparty (though I'm trying to decide if I want to do something in my room Sunday night or not). Schedule will be relatively minimal; a few group games TBD, but no big events like I normally do, though there will be a few weekend-long running things for ConCardia cards or other small prizes. Tragically, I'm skipping the Sunday afternoon tea social this year because it's a little too close to pandemic for comfort and I'm trying to pace myself while getting back into the swing of things after two years. Since we're hoping to require proof of vaccination, I'll be absolutely insisting on badges being visible on every person at all times, hand sanitizer will be available and far more than a suggestion, and video games will not be self-serve this year; we'll have a list of games available and set them up ourselves when someone wants a specific game, and when someone is done with a gaming station, it will be closed for a few minutes so we can thoroughly wipe down all of the controllers and other parts used. There may also be fewer available stations, at the very least exactly one computer at the PC gaming station. In terms of what I'm going to need, I may push harder for at least one or two more volunteers (not including Dragonhand, if he's willing to help me again this year) in order to keep things flowing. My request of at least two tvs and a water station from the hotel still stands at this time, and I will have a final inventory of tables etc. closer to time when I have a floor plan [1:54 PM] oh! there might be some adjustments made to this plan on account of my laptop that works with the projector hacking up a lung the past few years. I'll have to either find a way to convert from a new laptop to fit the projector I have, or, since I'm learning the magic powers of HDMI, hook that station up to one of/another tv [1:54 PM] I think that's all from me Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 1:55 PM Thanks! Con Chair: Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 1:57 PM Things have progressed! Messages about the Convention have gotten out, and discussions with the GoH have continues. Turns out, her publishing house has a series in th works about Cryptids. [1:58 PM] In particular, one of the authors has an upcoming Novella featuring Chessie herself: this is scheduled for publication just before or possibly concurrent with, the Convention. 1 [2:00 PM] To which end, Danielle was proposing several schemes, the most practical-seeming to me is that Chessiecon essentialy co-sponsor the publication: we can offer pro-publication orders for it on the Chessiecon site; the specific proposal was that it be offered for $10, with the proceeds be split between eSpec books and Chessiecon. I'm kind of jumping at the chance. [2:01 PM] It is hoped that fen who placed pre-orders can pick up their copies at registration. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:01 PM Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:03 PM You're probably all long familiar with their habits, but eSpec books does have a history of doing huge-ass book launch parties: it was my idea to have one of these replacing the traditional GoH speech; this does have to be discussed with the hotel, since this again, typically a food-involved thing. It might be doable- by turning over the ocn suite to them for the book launch party. But agian, I'll check with the hotel about this. [2:05 PM] Other programming: I've had contacts from several past guests stating they they absolutely want to be on panels this year: Kristen Houseknecht and Scott Edelmann come to mind. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:05 PM Kirsten Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:06 PM I've heard from Yakira that she has a couple of programming ideas to advance, so I'm looking forward to what those are, have asked that details be e-maild to me. For obvious reasonjs, she's been occupied with Balticon recently. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 2:06 PM @Poryshkin | Con Chair have you replied to Edelmann and Rogow's emails? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:06 PM I intend to get preliminary surveys out to past presenters in the next couple of weeks. 1 @Marilyn Mix | Website @Poryshkin | Con Chair have you replied to Edelmann and Rogow's emails? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:07 PM Not directly; and yes, Roberta Rogow is another one of those past guests who have reached out to me. [2:09 PM] As far as music and mythic programming: have not had contact about this, I think that's something to go on, or at least out with, the preliminary survey. [2:10 PM] WRT other programming as well: Kim, it is my understanding that you're set ffor heading up table top gaming. I recently got an e-mail from Pyrris in this regard. Did you also see that? [2:10 PM] Kim?, um, crap, still can't type. JIM. the question was for JIM Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 2:11 PM Was wondered who "Kim" was an alias for Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:11 PM Symbolic of my struggle against the keyboard [2:12 PM] OH, BTW, as far as programming department head goes: all of the various people I have reached out to have given polite refusals, so until that changes, that's in my lap. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 2:12 PM I thought Yakira was willing to head up programming [2:13 PM] I'll stay on the committee Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:13 PM I think so, but she's been distracted by Balticon. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:13 PM I spoke with her yesterday: like you, she's interested in the committee, but doesn't want to head up the department. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:13 PM Ah. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:14 PM DIstracted by Balticon? Shocking! ;-P Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 2:14 PM Well, at least you have people to delegate to. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:15 PM OK, anyway, Jim seems to be afk. But it may be an opportunity for me to dig the pit, and get the water hose, and make Blaise & Pyrris mud-wrestle for Tabletop Gaming head. [2:15 PM] I think that's it for Con Chair/Programming. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:16 PM Registration Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:16 PM Hi folks. [2:16 PM] As of right now, the database shows 74 people with paid registrations, which is the same number we had last month and every other month this year. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:19 PM Has PayPal given you any notices of folks who sent money? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:19 PM Hunh. OK, let me check my notifications from PayPal, and see who they might be. I'm fairly certain a couple went through just before the end of May. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:20 PM We know that sometimes there is a disconnect between PayPal and the reg system. It happens to other cons and events too. (Eventbrite has had issues with this before.) Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:21 PM Oh, also, since Danielle was bumped up to GoH status, the memberships from her vendor tables were transferred to a couple of people whose names I dont' remember off the top of my head. did you see those go by, or was my attempt to add them to the registration DB incomplete? Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:22 PM I still have Danielle, Mike, and Alfred Shupe as Vendor and 2 Vendor Assists for eSpec. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:22 PM I think Alfred Shupe was one of the transfers, the name sounds very familiar. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:23 PM Alfred was on the list already from 2019. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:23 PM But my memory for names in general is worse than my typing. [2:24 PM] Ah, have dug out the e-mail from Danielle The two names are Alfred Shupe & John L French. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:25 PM I had figured that I could bump Danielle up to "Guest" whenever. If you actually find the name of the person to transfer her Vendor badge to, let me know and I'll handle it. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:25 PM I'll forward Daniell's e-mail to you. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:25 PM No Mike MacPhail? He was the other rollover from 2019 for eSpec. [2:26 PM] John L French is not listed under "paid" nor "Unfinished". [2:27 PM] I'll look for the email Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:28 PM I think the rollover still counts as rollover. Dave/Evan(damont) | Registration — Today at 2:28 PM Oh, it certainly still should. [2:30 PM] Anyway, I think we can move this part of the discussion off-channel, it's already 14:30... As for the move to Square. TL;DR: Not for 2021. [2:33 PM] For reasons I'd just as soon not go into here, moving to Square will require a more extensive rewrite of the Reg website than I'd anticipated. Also, (1) that more extensive rewrite would probably be a Good Idea, from what I've been told offline, and (2) Jo may be wanting to shut down her server for Reg after this year, I'm a bit unclear on that last. Anyway, I'm in the process of starting the rewrite, but it won't be ready for prime time before November and maybe not until after the 2021 con. [2:37 PM] The Registration website is live for 2021, and has in fact been live for 2021 since Sunday morning of v-Chessiecon 2020. That shift happened seamlessly. There were a few cosmetic issues, which required intervention from Jo; she says they're fixed. I still have one issue to double-check on, but I shouldn't do that from this machine. I can do that check right after this meeting ends. [2:37 PM] That's all I've got. Any questions? Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:38 PM Absent questions for Dave, I have Gaming, Music, Volunteers, and Vendors up on the agenda. @Jim/Blaise | Tabletop Gaming seems to be afk. [2:39 PM] Yakira? Yakira - Volunteers and Vendors — Today at 2:39 PM I'm here. Sorry I'm late, again. I got stuck in Baltimore visiting with my parents and kids. Will start reading to catch up now. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:39 PM Have you any report on volunteers or vendors? [2:40 PM] We have noted that you do not wish to head programming this year but will serve on the committee. [2:45 PM] While Yakira is catching up, I don't think we're getting a report from Music, no? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:46 PM Yes, the at least willing-to-be head of music programming isn't here. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:46 PM ...and as ConOps, I don't have anything to report, but I am working under the rebuttable assumption that I will be doing the program book and badges as in the recent past. If someone else wants either, I'm fine with that. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:48 PM I'm hoping you're doing the program book. Do you have any idea of what stock of badge blanks we have, or is it necessary to dive into the storage area for that? Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 2:48 PM One moment. [2:50 PM] I have them, and I have plenty. Around 100 sheets of six blanks. [2:50 PM] I do not know about badge holders; those would be in storage. Yakira - Volunteers and Vendors — Today at 2:50 PM All caught up. [2:52 PM] Vendors: the vendor application has finally been redirected to my email. Aside from the usual suspects, ie Prison Dad, Christine Cowchan, and DH Aire, no one else has queried or filled out the form. [2:53 PM] Volunteers recruitment campaign will start happening, especially since I can recruit from BSFS and WSFA . [2:53 PM] Also, there was some noise about some BSFS folks helping us finally get the 501c3 filed so we can stop paying taxes and start taking donations ASAP 4 [2:54 PM] I would also like to take a close look at our budget for 2021 and consider asking BSFS for some financial aid with a plan to grow Chessiecon. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:55 PM Unless on of them is an actual tax lawyer, the help is irrelevant. The issues, as I've mentioned before, is a matter of last records. [2:55 PM] LOST records. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 2:56 PM Have we been keeping the necessary records post-loss? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:56 PM Yes, I have. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 2:57 PM It would be good to have someone help when we try again. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 2:58 PM No disagreement there. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 2:59 PM I have a few words about the web site when it is my turn. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 3:00 PM ...an item I neglected to put on the agenda. My apologies, and you're up. Yakira - Volunteers and Vendors — Today at 3:00 PM I'm pretty much done. When can the programming committee meet so we can go over potential panelists and panels? Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 3:01 PM I'd like the ideas thrown at me ASAP, maybe put some of them on the survey. The committee can meet after the replies start coming in. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 3:01 PM Segue to the web site: [3:02 PM] I need to add the Programming ideas page to the web site when I get back (June 21) Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 3:02 PM Yes, until then, please if you have ideas, thrown them at the info@ address. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 3:03 PM The next thing for the web site is the hotel reservation info. [3:06 PM] BTW, The programming process is to send invitations to participants, make a list of program ideas, then send out the survey. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 3:08 PM Yeah; wrong terminology on my part-"Preliminary survey" is what I was labeling the "invitations" in your understanding. Yakira - Volunteers and Vendors — Today at 3:08 PM And if we're using Zambia I can get started on setting it up and getting trining for those of us who will need to use it. [3:09 PM] because the survey is sent through Zambia. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 3:09 PM It might be possible to get a few programming ideas on the Iinvitations-specifically, if we want to invite a particular person for a particular presentation. presentation. @Yakira - Volunteers and Vendors And if we're using Zambia I can get started on setting it up and getting trining for those of us who will need to use it. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 3:10 PM I'm oging to DM you about this. 1 Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 3:12 PM Sounds like we do need a programming committee meeting to get the process worked out so we all know what is coming up. [3:14 PM] Back to web site: [3:15 PM] I plan to write up a notional web content schedule that I will circulate. [3:15 PM] Let me know what is missing from the web site. [3:15 PM] Publicity and web site need to give a complimentary message. @Marilyn Mix | Website Sounds like we do need a programming committee meeting to get the process worked out so we all know what is coming up. Poryshkin | Con Chair — Today at 3:16 PM Indeed, it might be necessary before the invites go out, after all. I'll look at caldndar, see what's practical. Certainly not beofre 20 June, though. 1 Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 3:18 PM That's all I wanted to say about the web site today. Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 3:18 PM Thanks! 1 [3:18 PM] I've updated my draft agenda for next month to include Website. [3:19 PM] Is there anyone else who I have overlooked, or any new business to bring up? @Herveus | Con Ops I've updated my draft agenda for next month to include Website. Marilyn Mix | Website — Today at 3:19 PM How about Publicity/Website Herveus | Con Ops — Today at 3:20 PM OK. [3:21 PM] Balticon was really helpful in letting us get an ad in kind of late, and so in return, their full page ad in the program book will be well placed.
