Steve recording meeting

Schedule times for next year specifically indicate status of presenter in programming. GOH stuff.

Bold outline box around guests on schedule.

Indicate plans to record any session.

The Convention was very nice.

fifteen minute breaks appreciated. Maybe make breaks explicit blocks on grid.

Reach out to bring in more people. Family friendly and relaxing. What can we do to market
better?

Sam wearing too many hats. Marketing suffered.

Print next year's flyer and get a stack to Pierre for distribution. And to be spread around.

More music, including in the atrium.

Typographic note: add room labels on top of each page of grid, please.

Con suite worked and was available. Perhaps most successful part of con. Kudos to Thomas Atkinson. Tongs and hand sanitizer to limit con crud a good idea. Toothpicks and such. Maybe more individual portion types of food.

Checkin worked well.

Atrium was really friendly to hang out in.

Ambient music management. Minstrel wrangling. General guidelines for them.

Music in the atrium until 0100 explicitly named in the contract.

Lack of recruits to help out next year. We need more bodies.

To repeat, we need a marketing committee.

Reach out to SCA folks?

More stuff on Friday; open Consuite earlier than 1800 Friday?

Hot water station in Atrium sooner? Concessions in Atrium a good thing.

Now for the hotel...

Good things: musak shut off on request with no hassles
Crab soup to go was good. Restaurant food mixed. Buffet was atrocious.

Lights in Atrium: hotel turned them off at 0100. Not down. Fix that in future contracts.

Function space lighting dodgy. Chesapeake 6 lights half worked.

Food concession slow due to staffing issues.

Lack of heat a major issue. Cost us programming space and programming activities.

Some space heaters did not function -- electrical issues. Cold air leaking around doors.

Hotel failed to understand room placement vis-a-vis disabilities. "room near elevator" should not be a hard thing to understand.

Concession not always "hot food hot", says rumors. Business center computers slow and crashing.
Internet access really sluggish. Slower than last year.

Microwaves can be rented for rooms; con suite had one.

WiFi seemed better.

Compose survey for members. Give them room to write at length under each question.

Hypothetical new hotel should be convenient to light rail or other public transit.

Recruit a "used SF" vendor? Lack of used book sellers?
